Reconnecting with Nature in Iceland (2024) In 2024, my travels brought me to Iceland, a country known for its stunning natural beauty, unique landscapes, and vibrant culture. After navigating the challenges of the pandemic, Iceland offered a perfect setting for reconnecting with nature and finding solace in its pristine wilderness. This year was marked by awe-inspiring experiences, personal reflection, and a deepened appreciation for the natural world. Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, was my first destination. The city's modern architecture, colorful buildings, and lively cultural scene were welcoming and intriguing. The Harpa Concert Hall, with its striking glass façade, and the Hallgrimskirkja Church, with its towering presence, were architectural highlights. Exploring Reykjavik's museums, such as the National Museum of Iceland and the Reykjavik Art Museum, provided insights into the country's rich history and vibrant artistic community. One of the most profound exper...

In 2017, my journey took me to the serene landscapes of Scandinavia, a region known for its minimalist beauty, progressive societies, and deep connection to nature. The countries of Sweden, Norway, and Denmark offered a unique blend of tranquility and enlightenment that profoundly influenced my outlook on life. Sweden was my first destination, and Stockholm, its capital, immediately captured my heart. The city's archipelago, with its countless islands and waterways, was a breathtaking sight. Stockholm's blend of modernity and history was evident in its architecture, from the medieval Gamla Stan to the contemporary designs of Södermalm. The Vasa Museum, housing a 17th-century warship, provided a fascinating glimpse into Sweden's maritime history. Start over

By 2016, I sought solace and renewal in the tranquil beauty of Greece. After the emotional turmoil of the previous year, I needed a place that would offer peace and a fresh start. Greece, with its idyllic islands, ancient ruins, and warm hospitality, was the perfect destination. The country’s rich history and natural beauty provided a sanctuary where I could heal and rediscover joy. My journey in Greece began on the island of Santorini, known for its stunning sunsets and whitewashed buildings perched on cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea. The serene beauty of Santorini was a balm for my weary soul. I spent my days exploring the island's charming villages, such as Oia and Fira, and my evenings watching the sun set over the caldera, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. The simplicity and tranquility of life on the island helped me to slow down and appreciate the present moment. One of the most memorable experiences in Santorini was visiting the ancient site of Akrotiri, a Mi...

Well, it took some consideration and a great deal of thought, but I finally did it, I created my own blog. This being my first entry I can't say whether it's better to have a blog or it's better off you didn't. What I can say is that it feels somewhat liberating to post your own thoughts but everyone can see them and maybe even comment.I can't help but think that creating your own blog is a way of expressing inner most fears, hidden thoughts and why not unspoken opinions about this and that. So basically we create a blog so that we can release all that bottled up energy, express ourselves in the most honest way (because we don't care whether people like what we say or not) interact with people and eventually establish long term relationships. But again, these are just my thoughts on the matter and each has his/her opinion, we might agree or disagree.
